Hinode/EIS Website (MSSL)

Welcome to the Hinode/EIS Wiki!#

The EIS wiki is designed to help all users of Hinode EIS data with their analysis, calibration, and software queries.

Read. Contribute. Participate. Connect!#

Anyone can contribute to the wiki, so please do! If you discover any EIS quirks, or new techniques for analysing some data please post them here to let everyone know! We have helpful links in the sections in the side-bar, so join in the discussions, or start one of your own!

As the content develops, it gets re-organised so that it's even easier to find.

And to see what's been added most recently, just click on Recent Changes!

Why not take a look at Planning & Operations to find out how EIS is operated, and how observations are scheduled?

How do I get started?#

Explore the possibilities!#

Making full use of the EISWiki is of huge benefit to yourself and the community around you.

Far from being just a discussion board, you can also post articles, comment on other people's pages, get discussions started there, and read everything that's been posted about EIS, its operations, its science, and the latest hints on how to analyse the data.

Thanks for visiting the EISWiki!

What start points would people like to see here?

tried editing the page with wizard and I got:

JSPWiki has detected an error Error Message Attempt to post from a different IP address than where the page was originally fetched. An unknown error was caught by Error.jsp Exception java.lang.Exception Place where detected org.apache.jsp.Error_jsp._jspService(), line 109 If you have changed the templates, please do check them. This error message may show up because of that. If you have not changed them, and you are either installing JSPWiki for the first time or have changed configuration, then you might want to check your configuration files. If you are absolutely sure that JSPWiki was running quite okay or you can't figure out what is going on, then by all means, come over to jspwiki.org and tell us. There is more information in the log file (like the full stack trace, which you should add to any error report). And don't worry - it's just a computer program. Nothing really serious is probably going on: at worst you can lose a few nights sleep. It's not like it's the end of the world.

Hi, Ken

The reason is that general users deliberatlely don't have permission to edit the front page. If you leave a comment here or e-mail me suggesting what you'd like, then we can consider how to incorporate that.
